President Donald Trump has reportedly delivered a strong warning to the Iranian government, urging its leaders to either step down peacefully or face possible heavy military action. The statement comes as tensions escalate between the United States and Iran over Tehran’s nuclear programme.
According to Alex Traiman, a senior official at the Jerusalem Bureau (JNS), President Trump is applying what he describes as his “Art of the Deal” strategy to pressure Iranian leaders into making a decisive choice. Traiman said the President is offering what he termed an “exit ramp” for Iran’s leadership or the possibility of military strikes involving B-2 bombers equipped with bunker-busting weapons.
The rising rhetoric has heightened fears of a broader conflict. In Tehran and other major cities, concerns are growing that a military confrontation could erupt if diplomatic efforts fail.
As part of its show of force, the United States has reportedly deployed a significant naval presence to the region, including the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, widely regarded as one of the most advanced warships in the world.
Last year, the US military carried out strikes on underground facilities during an operation referred to as “Operation Midnight Hammer,” using bunker-buster munitions designed to penetrate fortified sites.
With tensions running high, global attention is now focused on whether Iran will return to negotiations or whether the standoff will escalate into open conflict.
