President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of 26 individuals to the boards and leadership of 10 federal government agencies and commissions, with former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, named Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
The appointments, which take immediate effect, were announced on Monday in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Among the key appointments, Major General Junaid Bindawa was named Chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, while Dr. Abuh Mohammed was appointed Director-General of the National Population Commission. Dr. Akinola Odeyemi will serve as Managing Director of Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc, and Dr. Anthony Inalegwu Godwin was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission.
President Tinubu also appointed Engineer Julius Oloro as Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM), Dr. Abdullahi Maikano Saidu as Chairman of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Shuni Muhammad Dahiru as Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, and Gisaor Vincent Iorja as Executive Director (Finance) of the Federal Housing Authority.
According to the Presidency, the appointments are aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across key government institutions.
