Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Lormem Alia, has affirmed and implemented the resolutions passed by the Benue State House of Assembly regarding the suspension of certain public officials.
In line with the Assembly’s directive, Governor Alia approved the following actions:
1. Suspension of Mr. Maxwell Ogiri, Executive Chairman of Otukpo LGA, for one month, effective immediately.
2. Suspension of Mrs. Grace Adagba, Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), for one month, effective immediately.
3. Suspension of Mr. Michael Uper, Executive Secretary of the Benue State Lottery Commission, for one month, effective immediately.
Governor Alia reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the rule of law, due process, and the separation of powers. He commended the House of Assembly for its constitutional oversight and assured the people of Benue State of his dedication to transparency, accountability, and good governance.
He also directed affected institutions to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and called on citizens to continue supporting efforts to build a functional and inclusive state.
