Tensions between Iran and the United States escalated dramatically after Iran reportedly launched 24 missiles at a U.S. B-52 bomber flying in international airspace.
According to early reports, Iranian forces fired the missiles in what appeared to be a saturation attack aimed at overwhelming the aircraft’s defenses. However, U.S. military systems quickly detected the incoming threats.
American defense assets responded immediately, tracking and intercepting all 24 missiles before they could reach the bomber. No damage or casualties were reported.
In a swift countermeasure, U.S. forces reportedly targeted and destroyed the missile launch sites shortly after the attack, significantly degrading Iran’s launch capabilities.
Military analysts say the incident highlights the advanced surveillance, missile defense systems, and rapid-response coordination of U.S. forces. The confrontation marks one of the most serious direct engagements between the two nations in recent times.
Officials are yet to release a full statement as global observers monitor the situation closely amid fears of further escalation.
