Veteran musician Baba Fryo has blamed music icon 2Baba and his ex-wife, Annie Idibia for not handling their marriage crisis properly.
The ex-lovers separated in January and subsequently, 2Baba introduced Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawuru as his new lover.
Sharing his opinion about the crash of the marriage on the Honest Bunch podcast, Baba Fryo attributed it to the fact that the couple is both in the entertainment industry.
According to him, men desire women who can look out for them when they are drowning in vices, not women who also have vices.
He, however, stated that Natasha is not any better than Annie, stressing that he carried her on his legs when she was three years old.
He said, “2Face and his ex-wife didn’t manage themselves well. They are both entertainers. Annie is an actress, and 2Face is a musician.
In marriage, when the couple is out, the woman must watch the man. When the man is drinking, the woman will be watching him, and if he is drinking too much, the woman will calm him down. But if you marry a woman who also drinks, when you’re both drunk, who will take the other home?
When a man sees that, he will become insecure in the marriage. And when he goes out and sees another woman with a different attitude… I’m not saying it’s a good attitude, oh, because even 2Face’s current lover, Natasha, is someone I have known.

Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, Baba Fryo suggested that one of the main causes of the failed marriage was the fact that both 2Baba and Annie are in the entertainment industry.
According to him, men need partners who can help ground them during turbulent times—not women who share the same flaws.
He further remarked that Natasha, 2Baba’s new partner, is not necessarily better than Annie, revealing that he once carried her on his lap when she was a child.

In marriage, a wife should be the one watching over her husband. If the man is drinking excessively, the woman should help him slow down. But if both partners indulge in the same habits, like drinking, who brings the other home?
He added, “That kind of situation creates insecurity in a marriage. When a man sees a woman with different behavior—whether good or not—he might be drawn to her. I’m not saying Natasha is a better person; I’ve known her since she was a child.
