Experiencing Public Relations, the flagship global convening of the Public Relations Women Foundation (PRWF), is marking its fifth anniversary with a major milestone — the launch of a five-part international webinar series in strategic partnership with leading institutions and high-profile ecosystem collaborators across Africa, Asia, and North America.
As the Foundation’s premier gathering for business leaders, government professionals, and senior decision-makers, Experiencing PR has consistently explored how public relations and strategic communications deliver measurable economic, societal, and institutional value, particularly within emerging markets.
Over the past four years, the summit has evolved into a respected cross-sector platform where executives with decision-making authority engage in high-level conversations on the role of narrative, reputation, and communication in driving sustainable growth. Now, as it celebrates five years of impact, the platform is expanding beyond Nigeria, ushering in a new phase of cross-continental dialogue and collaboration on the strategic importance of public relations in business and governance.
According to the Convener, Tolulope Olorundero, the global expansion reflects both growth and deliberate vision.
“From the beginning, Experiencing Public Relations was never designed to be just another industry event. It was built as a platform that positions public relations as an economic contributor to national, continental, and global development — especially within emerging markets. Public relations is a leadership function central to innovation, investment, and sustainable economic growth. As we mark five years, taking the summit global is a natural progression of that vision,” she said.
The five global webinars will convene high-level executives, founders, policymakers, and communications leaders to examine how narrative strategy shapes markets, influences capital flows, strengthens institutions, and drives competitive advantage in today’s increasingly complex global economy.
Since its inception, Experiencing PR has distinguished itself by bringing together multi-level stakeholders around a central idea — that strategic communication is not peripheral to business success but foundational to it. Through thought leadership and cross-sector engagement, the platform has demonstrated how public relations influences investment outcomes, brand longevity, policy direction, and public trust.
The global expansion signals the growing international influence of Experiencing PR and reinforces its commitment to elevating the perception of public relations at the highest levels of leadership and decision-making. By forging partnerships across continents, the platform aims to strengthen bridges between industries and governments while amplifying conversations around entrepreneurship and narrative power in the Global South.
As Experiencing PR enters this next phase, the move aligns with the broader mission of the Public Relations Women Foundation — to elevate leadership, strengthen professional standards, and advance inclusive participation within the communications industry worldwide.
