In a significant legal victory, the Federal High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has dismissed a high-profile suit filed by the Registered Trustees of the City of David Residents Association (CODRA) and five others against Adron Homes and Properties Limited. The court’s ruling, delivered by Hon. Justice Abiodun J. Adeyemi, found the applicants’ claims to be “speculative, unsubstantiated, and without merit.
The applicants alleged that Adron Homes infringed on their personal liberty and freedom of association. However, the court found no evidence to support these claims, stating that there was no trace of any arrest, invitation, or action by Adron Homes to justify the allegations.
The court clarified that while residents are free to form associations, the exclusive legal authority to own, manage, and make decisions about the estate remains with Adron Homes as the legitimate developer and administrator.
Justice Adeyemi emphasized that the verdict was grounded strictly on evidence and the law, not assumptions or emotional narratives.
Adron Homes hailed the ruling, stating that the real victory lies in its continued commitment to resident satisfaction. The company promised to keep delivering value and safeguarding the interests of its clients, reaffirming its position as a law-abiding, customer-focused leader in Nigeria’s real estate sector.
