Emerging fashion designers and creative entrepreneurs took centre stage on Wednesday as models showcased a variety of innovative designs during the 13th edition of the Transforming Talent into Enterprise Creative Economy Exhibition and Fashion Showcase held at the Inspire Business Incubation Centre, African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Galadimawa, Abuja.
The event, organised by Binley and Bramble Limited in collaboration with School Hunters TVET Academy, brought together students, entrepreneurs, industry stakeholders and fashion enthusiasts to celebrate creativity, innovation and skills development in Nigeria’s growing creative economy.
One of the highlights of the exhibition was the fashion runway, where models displayed a range of locally designed outfits, reflecting the ingenuity and craftsmanship of young Nigerian designers. The showcase provided participants with an opportunity to present their creations to potential investors, industry experts and members of the public.
Organisers said the annual programme is designed to transform creative talent into sustainable enterprises by equipping participants with practical vocational and entrepreneurial skills. They noted that the initiative also serves as a platform for networking, mentorship and business development for aspiring entrepreneurs in the fashion and creative industries.
The exhibition featured fashion displays, creative exhibitions, enterprise development sessions and interactions aimed at promoting technical and vocational education as a pathway to job creation and economic growth.
The event reaffirmed the importance of investing in Nigeria’s creative sector, with participants calling for greater support for young innovators and entrepreneurs to unlock the vast potential of the country’s creative economy.
The 13th edition of the programme is expected to further strengthen collaboration between educational institutions, private sector organisations and government agencies in advancing entrepreneurship, innovation and skills acquisition across Nigeria.
