Nestlé Waters, in collaboration with the Organised Private Sector in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (OPS-WASH), has launched the Nestlé Water Quality Advocacy campaign. This initiative aims to raise national awareness about the importance of quality water across Nigeria.
The Campaign’s Objectives Are to:
*Promote universal access to safe water
*Ensure transparent monitoring and accountability
*Encourage multi-stakeholder collaboration
*Push for sustainable, long-term solutions
The launch event in Abuja brought together key stakeholders to emphasize the critical importance of protecting Nigeria’s water sources.
Mr. Olatunji Olutayo, Business Executive Officer, Nestlé Waters and Premium Beverages, highlighted Nestlé’s commitment to quality and water stewardship.
Dr. Nicholas Igwe, National Coordinator, OPS-WASH, emphasized the need to empower people with knowledge and tools to safeguard their health by protecting water sources.
The Honourable Minister of Water Resources & Sanitation, Engr. Prof. Joseph Terlumun Utsev, represented by Mrs. Elizabeth Ugoh, Director, Water Quality Control and Sanitation, commended Nestlé Waters and OPS-WASH for the initiative, which aligns with the national drive to ensure access to clean and safe water for all Nigerians.
