Benue State University (BSU), Makurdi, is set to host the MTN GO MAD (Go Make A Difference) Campus Invasion from October 15 to 17. The three-day event promises a mix of entertainment, skill-building workshops, and prize giveaways for students.
The activation is part of MTN Nigeria’s nationwide university tour, aimed at engaging and empowering students across the country. So far, the tour has visited three tertiary institutions this year.
At BSU, students can look forward to interactive booths, gaming competitions, music performances, and workshops on digital literacy and entrepreneurship. Dedicated spaces will also be provided for student entrepreneurs to showcase their businesses and network with potential customers and partners.
The last GO MAD Campus Invasion was held in September at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), drawing hundreds of students. A 200-level Engineering student, Edomwonyi Osariemen, emerged as the winner of a brand-new 2025 Alsvin Mikano car via a raffle draw. “I can’t believe I won a car,” he said. Other participants went home with laptops, MTN MiFi devices, and airtime prizes.
That event also featured dance and game competitions, talent showcases, and empowerment sessions aimed at preparing students for life beyond the classroom.
Speaking at the UNIBEN event, MTN Nigeria’s Youth Segment Manager, Oluwafemi Adesina, said: “We believe strongly in empowering young Nigerians. That’s why we’re creating opportunities like this, combining entertainment with education and empowerment.”
The GO MAD Campus Invasion has become one of the most anticipated campus events of 2025. Previous stops include the University of Abuja and the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), where two other students also won new cars.
The BSU activation will run across multiple zones on campus, with major prize draws scheduled for the final day.
