Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has apologised to Nigerians over the persistent power outages affecting parts of the country, assuring citizens that efforts are underway to reverse the trend.
Adelabu acknowledged the frustration caused by the unstable electricity supply and said the government is working to address the challenges within the power sector. According to him, measures have already been put in place to improve generation, transmission, and distribution in the coming weeks.
The minister expressed optimism that Nigerians would begin to experience noticeable improvements in electricity supply soon, as interventions are being implemented across critical areas of the power value chain.
His remarks come amid recent disruptions in power supply across several states, raising concerns among households and businesses reliant on stable electricity.
Adelabu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring a more reliable and efficient power sector, urging Nigerians to remain patient as ongoing reforms begin to yield results.
