The Lagos State Government has revealed detailed plans for the relocation of Computer Village to a newly designated 15-hectare ICT and Business Park in Katangowa, Agbado-Oke Odo.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting in Alausa, the Permanent Secretary, Office of Urban Development, Arc. Gbolahan Oki, said the new site would be equipped with essential infrastructure, including trailer parks, hotels, banks, a police station, a fire station, and other community amenities.
He emphasized the government’s resolve to transform the market into a world-class ICT hub while urging stakeholders to collaborate with the developer for a smooth, orderly transition.
“All hands must be on deck to ensure this relocation is successful. The new environment has been thoughtfully planned to meet global standards,” he said.
Mrs. Abisola Azeez, Iya Oloja of the market, expressed satisfaction after the briefing. “All my fears have been allayed. I urge the developer to stick to the agreed design and timelines so that the entire relocation can be achieved.”
Mr. Sam Ajose, the project developer, commended the Lagos State Government and stakeholders for their support, assuring that a flexible payment plan will be provided to ease the transition process for traders and business owners.
