International Workplace Group (IWG), the world’s largest platform for flexible working, has announced the opening of three new workspaces in Nigeria as demand for hybrid and platform-based working continues to grow across the country.
The new facilities, which will open between February and April 2026, will operate under IWG’s Regus and HQ brands, offering co-working spaces, private offices, meeting rooms and creative work areas designed to support modern business needs.
IWG said the expansion reflects a long-term shift toward flexible working arrangements, with organisations of all sizes increasingly giving employees access to multiple work locations to enhance productivity and job satisfaction.
The new centres include Regus Logitech Integrated Ltd in Jabi, Abuja (908 sqm) opening on February 1, 2026; Regus Lubrik Construction Company Limited at PH Tower, Port Harcourt (1,394 sqm) opening on February 28, 2026; and HQ Alternative Bank Limited on Zoo Road, Kano (390 sqm) scheduled to open on April 1, 2026.
According to the company, the openings follow partnership agreements with building owners who invested in the IWG platform to maximise returns on their real estate assets by tapping into the growing demand for hybrid working solutions.
The Nigeria expansion comes amid record global growth for International Workplace Group, which signed 496 new centres worldwide in the first half of 2025 and recorded its highest-ever revenue. IWG’s global network now spans more than one million workspaces across 121 countries.
Studies cited by the company show that hybrid working delivers significant benefits for both employees and employers, including improved work-life balance, cost savings and higher productivity. Joint research by IWG and workplace consultancy Arup found that hybrid working can increase productivity by up to 11 per cent.
Commenting on the development, IWG Founder and CEO, Mark Dixon, said the new facilities represent a strategic expansion of the company’s operations in Nigeria.
“Nigeria is a dynamic and important commercial market, and we are pleased to expand our presence in Abuja, Port Harcourt and Kano through partnerships with local building owners,” Dixon said. “Businesses are increasingly embracing platform and hybrid working models to improve efficiency, reduce costs and provide employees with greater flexibility.”
IWG operates thousands of locations in over 120 countries, allowing members to access workspaces and business services globally through the IWG app. In 2024, the company added 899 new partner locations, with 83 per cent of Fortune 500 companies among its customers.
