Indigenous brands join growing partnership network as Warri Kingdom prepares for week-long celebration of Itsekiri heritage, enterprise and culture.
Indigenous Itsekiri businesses are rallying behind the Itsekiri Global Homecoming (IGHC) 2026, contributing their platforms, expertise and resources to support the landmark celebration scheduled to take place across the Warri Kingdom from August 16 to 23, 2026.
Held under the authority of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, the Olu of Warri, and under the auspices of The Royal Order of Iwere (ROI), the Homecoming will bring together Itsekiri sons and daughters, friends and global allies for a week-long celebration of heritage, culture, community and the future of the Warri Kingdom.
The event will also commemorate the 5th Coronation Anniversary of His Majesty, the Olu of Warri.
Among the indigenous Itsekiri businesses supporting the Homecoming are Overland Airways, VouchLinks, REYON Water and Agile Cycle, with each contributing to different aspects of the celebration.
Overland Airways is supporting the movement of guests travelling into the region, helping connect returning Itsekiris, visitors and other guests to the Homecoming.
VouchLinks, a Nigerian peer-to-peer recommendation platform, is supporting the celebration through its digital platform and innovative approach to trusted recommendations.
REYON Water is serving as the Hydration Partner, helping to cater to guests across the various events scheduled for the Homecoming week.
Also joining the growing network of partners is Agile Cycle, an indigenous electric mobility venture and the Official Mobility Partner of the Homecoming.
Agile Cycle will support mobility throughout the week, including the highly anticipated Scooter Ride event with His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, one of the signature experiences of the Homecoming.
The activation reflects Agile Cycle’s commitment to smart and sustainable mobility and its vision of providing accessible and innovative transportation solutions.
The growing support from indigenous businesses is complemented by a wider network of brands and organisations that have also partnered with the Homecoming.
Other partners include MAGGI® (Nestlé Nigeria), Sterling Bank, Seaman’s Schnapps, Loatsad Promomedia, Enugu Air and ORÍKÌ, alongside other supporting organisations contributing to the success of the event.
Speaking on the growing support, Ade Mabo, a member of The Royal Order of Iwere and the IGHC organising committee, expressed appreciation to the indigenous Itsekiri businesses and other organisations supporting the initiative.
“It is deeply encouraging to see indigenous Itsekiri brands and organisations nationwide recognise the significance of the Itsekiri Global Homecoming and choose to support it.
Their involvement reflects the strength of our entrepreneurial community and the shared belief that we can come together to celebrate our heritage while creating meaningful opportunities for our people and our Kingdom. We are sincerely grateful to every partner lending their platform, expertise and resources to make this Homecoming possible.”
The Itsekiri Global Homecoming 2026 will feature royal pageantry, cultural showcases, culinary experiences, business and development conversations, heritage tours, entertainment and the iconic Royal Warri River Regatta.
The programme will culminate in celebrations marking the 5th Coronation Anniversary of the Olu of Warri.
With indigenous businesses and leading brands continuing to rally behind the initiative, the Homecoming is building momentum as a major platform for celebrating Iwere heritage, strengthening community connections, promoting enterprise and showcasing the Warri Kingdom to Nigeria and the world.
