Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to explain the delay in uploading polling unit results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal, IReV.
Davido raised the concern in posts on X, urging INEC to ensure transparency and provide Nigerians with timely access to election results.
The singer questioned why no result had appeared on the IReV portal as of 2:33 p.m., saying Nigerians deserved prompt updates on the electoral process.
Davido had earlier advised voters to remain at their polling units until their results were uploaded to IReV.
He also urged voters to monitor the figures recorded on the electronic EC8A result forms and keep copies of their polling unit results to help safeguard the integrity of the election.
