Lagos, Nigeria – October 15, 2025: Acclaimed Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong is set to make his highly anticipated directorial debut with *The Herd, hitting cinemas nationwide on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Co-produced by FilmOne Studios, ToriTori Films, Serendipity HHC, and Airscape, the film marks a pivotal moment in Etim-Effiong’s creative journey. Known widely for his captivating on-screen performances, especially in romantic roles, this project signals his evolution behind the camera.
The film’s release follows a wave of industry buzz, including an exclusive pre-launch dinner hosted in collaboration with Filmhouse Group, That Good Media, the Nigerian International Film Summit (NIFS), and Legend Hotel. The red-carpet premiere attracted Nollywood royalty such as Kanayo O. Kanayo, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman, Kate Henshaw, Kunle Remi, and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, alongside top filmmakers, media executives, and cultural influencers — making it one of the standout entertainment events of 2025.
Speaking at the premiere, Kene Okwuosa, Group CEO of Filmhouse Group, praised the team’s creative feat and reiterated the company’s dedication to elevating Nollywood’s global presence.
