The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR, has commended the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA), Ogun State Chapter, for its continued support in promoting the welfare and well-being of police officers and their families.
CP Ojajuni gave the commendation while receiving members of the association, led by the Acting Chairperson, Mrs. Bolanle Adeoye, during a courtesy visit to the Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Adeoye praised the Commissioner of Police for his exemplary leadership, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of officers and their families. She noted that POWA remains dedicated to strengthening family support systems, promoting unity among police families, and complementing the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in enhancing the well-being of its personnel.
She also appreciated the Commissioner for creating an environment that encourages discipline, stability, and effective policing, while assuring him of the association’s continued collaboration with the Command in advancing welfare-focused initiatives.
In his response, CP Ojajuni welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for POWA’s steadfast support and significant contributions to the welfare of police families.
He described the association as a critical pillar in fostering the emotional and social stability of officers, particularly those engaged in demanding operational responsibilities.
The Commissioner further commended POWA for its consistent contributions to community development and welfare support, noting that such initiatives complement the Command’s efforts to build a resilient, motivated, and effective police workforce.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to sustaining a strong partnership with the association and encouraged its members to continue implementing programmes that promote unity, welfare enhancement, and empowerment within police families.
CP Ojajuni also assured the delegation that the Ogun State Police Command remains committed to prioritising officers’ welfare and strengthening engagement with stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness and internal cohesion across the state.
Members of the Command’s management team, who were present during the visit, also commended POWA for its continuous support and urged the association to sustain its efforts in promoting family stability, welfare advancement, and positive values within the police community.
