Adeniran named campaign coordinator as governor unveils key officials ahead of 2027 elections
Oyo State Governor and the Allied People’s Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, will on Friday inaugurate the Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration is scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office, Ibadan, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju.
According to the statement, the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, has been appointed as the Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign. He will also serve as the Director-General of the Oyo State Governorship Campaign Council.
Former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Saheed Arowosaye, was named Deputy State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign.
The statement further announced the appointment of the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Demola Ojo, as Deputy Director-General for the South.
Similarly, Dr Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal were appointed Deputy Directors-General for Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts, respectively.
To strengthen grassroots mobilisation, Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo was named Director of the Women’s Wing, while former Special Assistant on Youth to Governor Makinde, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, was appointed Director of the Youth Wing.
The governor’s aide added that additional members of the campaign structure would be announced in due course as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 elections.
