Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, and the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, have visited the pupils and teachers from Oriire Local Government Area who were recently rescued from captivity by security agencies.
The delegation visited the victims at the hospital, where they are receiving medical care and psychological support following their ordeal.
The visit underscored the Oyo State Government’s commitment to the welfare of learners and educators, as well as ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of schools across the state.
Governor Makinde and Oba Ghandi were actively involved in efforts to secure the release of the abducted pupils and teachers, working closely with security agencies throughout the period of their captivity.
The successful rescue has brought relief to families, the education community, and residents of Oyo State, who have welcomed the safe return of the victims.
