Vice President Kashim Shettima has reaffirmed the commitment of the Tinubu-led administration to ending terrorism in Nigeria.
Speaking through his media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, on Monday, Shettima assured that military operations would be intensified against all forms of terrorist activity nationwide.
The Vice President made the statement in response to the recent terrorist attack in Darajamal community, Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, which claimed several lives. He extended condolences to the government and people of the state.
Shettima reiterated President Tinubu’s directive to the Armed Forces to review current security strategies, including deploying advanced military hardware and surveillance systems to neutralize terrorist threats across the country.
In a condolence message shared on his official X account, the Vice President described the incident as a profound loss for both Borno and the nation.
“I extend my heartfelt condolences to Governor Babagana Umara Zulum, the people of Borno State, and the Nigerian military over the tragic loss of our compatriots. These deaths have plunged the nation into collective grief, but we are confident that justice will be served,” he said.
