As Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary, BOCA Energy Resources Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to driving national economic growth through strategic investment, local job creation, technology transfer, and responsible corporate citizenship.
Speaking on the milestone, the Chairman and Managing Director of BOCA Energy Resources Limited, Mr. James Ukachukwu, emphasized that the private sector plays a vital role in supporting government initiatives to accelerate Nigeria’s economic development.
“The Nigeria of tomorrow will require imagination, innovation, and the courage to build differently,” Ukachukwu stated. “We must continue to invest in people, embrace advanced technology, and develop sustainable energy solutions that strengthen our economy and elevate the quality of life for future generations.”
BOCA Stresses Community Engagement and Human Capital Development
Addressing the company’s core growth strategy, Ukachukwu highlighted human capital and local community development as essential pillars of BOCA Energy’s philosophy. He noted that sustainable business practices in the Nigerian oil and gas sector must go beyond commercial profitability to prioritize safety, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment.
“Our people remain our greatest strength, and our host communities are key partners in our operations,” Ukachukwu added. “Our responsibility is to pursue corporate growth while remaining deeply conscious of the people and environment around us.”
This commitment to corporate excellence earned BOCA Energy Resources Limited and its sister firm, BOCA IT Systems Limited, formal recognition in June 2026 during the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lagos State Council Correspondents’ Chapel Press Week. The organizations were honored for their technical contributions to Nigeria’s energy and technology sectors.
Ukachukwu Calls for Public-Private Collaboration
In his Independence Day 2026 message, Ukachukwu called for heightened collaboration across government institutions, private sector leaders, civil society organizations, and everyday citizens. He stressed that sustainable national development relies on shared responsibility rather than public sector efforts alone.
“The task of building a greater Nigeria belongs to all of us,” Ukachukwu said. “Government has its responsibilities, businesses have theirs, and citizens play a critical role. By unifying our resources, technical expertise, and vision, we can build a safer, more productive, and prosperous nation.”
’Together for a Greater Nigeria’: Powering the Future
Expressing strong optimism for the nation’s trajectory, the BOCA chairman urged citizens to remain steadfast in their commitment to national progress. He reiterated that BOCA Energy Resources Limited will continue aligning its operational practices with global safety standards, operational excellence, and corporate transparency.
“As we celebrate Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day, we look forward with renewed determination,” Ukachukwu concluded. “At BOCA Energy, we remain committed to powering progress, driving innovation, and delivering reliable energy services across the nation. Together, we can build a greater Nigeria.”
He concluded by wishing all Nigerians peace, prosperity, and steady progress on this historic occasion.
