Industry leaders from Nigeria’s telecommunications and digital infrastructure sectors have called for increased investment to strengthen the country’s digital backbone and accelerate economic growth.
The call was made at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Digital Infrastructure Investment Forum, held in Abuja on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The event was themed “Investing in Nigeria’s Digital Infrastructure.”
Airtel Nigeria Chief Executive Officer, Dinesh Balsingh, participated in a high-level panel discussion alongside senior executives from IHS Towers, MTN Nigeria, Equinix West Africa, and Spectranet. The session was moderated by Prof. Olawale Ajai of Lagos Business School.
The forum brought together key public and private sector stakeholders to analyze critical investment opportunities, evaluate regulatory frameworks, and outline strategies to scale digital infrastructure across the country.
