Billionaire businessman Femi Otedola recently shared heartfelt advice with his daughter, Temi, and her husband, singer Mr Eazi, during their wedding reception.
The couple had a grand celebration, with three wedding ceremonies: a private ceremony in Iceland, a Yoruba traditional wedding in Dubai, and a reception in August.
During the reception, Otedola praised the couple’s love and entrepreneurial spirit, describing their union as “made in heaven.”
He advised Temi to prioritize her marriage and succumb to her husband’s whims and caprices, joking that Mr Eazi was now her “boss.
Otedola emphasized the importance of keeping marital issues private, saying, “When you have issues or problems, keep them between yourselves. Never involve friends or outsiders.
Otedola concluded his speech by presenting a wedding gift to the couple. He encouraged them to “out-think, out-maneuver, and out-spend” others, wishing them success in their entrepreneurial endeavors.
The billionaire’s words of wisdom and blessing were met with applause and appreciation from the guests.
Temi’s marriage to Mr Eazi has sparked a new debate in Nigerian feminist circles, with some discussing whether women should adopt their husband’s surname after marriage. Temi has publicly adopted her husband’s name, which has reignited this discussion.
The wedding celebration was a testament to the love and commitment of Temi and Mr Eazi. With Femi Otedola’s advice and blessing, the newlyweds are set to embark on a new journey together, supporting each other’s entrepreneurial spirit and building a strong foundation for their marriage.
