Students of the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), Kwara State, are set for three days of music, live entertainment and talent discovery as Soundcity OnTour arrives on campus from October 26 to 28, powered by Bigi and Fearless Energy Drink.
The tour follows its recent stop at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), as it continues its journey across Nigerian universities, bringing students together through music, entertainment and opportunities for emerging artistes to showcase their talents.
A major highlight of the UNILORIN edition is the Bigi Music Auditions, which will give aspiring campus musicians the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and compete for a ₦1 million prize at participating universities.
The initiative is designed to provide young talents with opportunities to gain visibility, build confidence and take steps towards pursuing their musical ambitions.
For Bigi, the partnership goes beyond campus entertainment, reflecting the brand’s commitment to connecting with young Nigerians through experiences that celebrate their interests, creativity and aspirations.
Speaking ahead of the UNILORIN stop, Biola Aransiola, Brand Manager, Bigi, said the initiative was designed to provide platforms for young people to express themselves and showcase their talents.
“Young Nigerians are full of creativity, ambition and talent, and we believe they deserve platforms where their voices can be heard. Through Soundcity OnTour, we are bringing music closer to students while giving aspiring artistes an opportunity to showcase what they can do,” Aransiola said.
She added that the initiative aims to encourage students to participate, express themselves and take advantage of opportunities to advance their musical ambitions.
With Fearless Energy Drink adding to the experience, the UNILORIN edition is expected to combine live entertainment, student engagement and youthful expression, while celebrating the talents and personalities shaping campus culture.
As Soundcity OnTour arrives in Ilorin, students are encouraged to participate in the activities and take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their musical abilities.
The three-day event runs from October 26 to 28, with aspiring musicians looking to use the platform to gain recognition and advance their careers.
