The Centre for Agropreneurship and Green Economy is set to host the Africa Food Heroes Awards tomorrow, November 20, 2024, at 4 p.m., at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
The prestigious ceremony will recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions of distinguished individuals in the areas of agriculture and food security in Nigeria.
Among the honorees are several state governors who have made significant strides in advancing agriculture and food sustainability in their states. Governors of Cross River, Osun, Akwa Ibom, Jigawa, Bauchi, Nasarawa, Benue, Niger, and Ebonyi States will be honored for their achievements.
Other notable awardees include the Minister of Agriculture, Senator Abubakar Kyari; Prof. John Kennedy Opara; Dr. Michael Onuoha; Alhaji Aminu Goronyo; and Ambassador Florence Edwards, among others.
The Africa Food Heroes Awards aims to promote sustainable agricultural practices, recognize innovation, and inspire greater commitment to food security efforts in Nigeria and across the continent.
