The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has reiterated the Service’s strong focus on continuous capacity building for its personnel.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the Senior Executive Course in Complex Customs Operations held on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) in Lagos, Adeniyi described the training as a new dimension in professional development.
This training represents a higher tier of development aimed at equipping our senior officers with the tools to navigate emerging challenges in global trade, security, and customs administration,” he said.
He emphasized that while the NCS already has established frameworks for basic and advanced training, this course adds an international dimension to enhance officers’ understanding of global best practices and the dynamics of international trade.
