Ogun Police Begin Investigation Into Two Suspects Arrested in Ijebu-Ode
The Ogun State Police Command has commenced an investigation into two male suspects apprehended by personnel of the Nigeria Forest Security Service in the Atiba area of Ijebu-Ode.
According to the Command, the suspects were intercepted during a security operation conducted on Thursday, June 4, 2026, and were subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation.
Preliminary inquiries are currently underway to establish the identities of the suspects and determine the circumstances surrounding their activities in the area.
The Police Command assured residents that the situation is under control and that there is no cause for alarm. It stated that the suspects would be subjected to a thorough and professional investigation in line with the provisions of the law, while any further action would depend on the outcome of the ongoing inquiries.
Reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state, the Command urged members of the public to continue supporting security agencies by providing credible and timely information.
