Rite Foods Limited has been named Nigeria’s Best Food and Beverage Brand at the Global Brand Awards 2026, earning international recognition for its innovation, product quality and growing influence in the country’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
The award was presented on October 2, 2026, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, by the Global Brand Awards, organised by the United Kingdom-based Global Brands Magazine.
The recognition highlights Rite Foods’ commitment to product innovation, manufacturing excellence, consumer satisfaction and the development of indigenous Nigerian brands capable of competing in international markets.
The Global Brand Awards celebrate brands that demonstrate excellence in innovation, market performance, brand development and consumer engagement. For Rite Foods, the latest honour reflects years of investment in product development, advanced manufacturing technology and initiatives aimed at delivering value to consumers.
The company has built a diverse product portfolio serving different consumer preferences and market segments.
Its offerings include 13 variants of the Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks range, Bigi Table Water, Sosa Fruit Drink in five flavours, Fearless Energy Drink in Classic and Red Berry variants, Rite Spicy Sausage Roll, Bigi Beef Sausage Roll, Bigi Flex Sausage Roll and its recently launched LIDA Malt.
These products are manufactured at Rite Foods’ state-of-the-art facility, which is equipped with automated production systems and advanced technology to support product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
The latest award also adds to the recognition received by the company’s Managing Director, Mr. Seleem Adegunwa, who was named Industrialist of the Year 2025 by Vanguard Media Limited for his leadership, entrepreneurial achievements and contributions to Nigeria’s FMCG industry.
Speaking on the recognitions, Adegunwa described them as validation of the company’s commitment to building Nigerian brands that can compete successfully on the global stage.
“These recognitions reflect our firm commitment to innovation, quality and consumer satisfaction. At Rite Foods, we have remained intentional about creating products that connect with consumers while continuously raising the bar in manufacturing excellence, brand experience and market relevance.
“They are also a testament to the passion and dedication of our people, partners and loyal consumers who continue to believe in the Rite Foods vision,” he said.
Adegunwa added that the company’s achievements demonstrate the potential of indigenous Nigerian businesses to thrive in a dynamic and increasingly competitive marketplace by prioritising excellence, innovation and long-term value creation.
Over the years, Rite Foods has introduced products and consumer engagement initiatives designed to strengthen its position in the Nigerian market.
Its flagship Bigi brand has established a strong presence in the country’s carbonated soft drinks market, while Fearless Energy Drink has distinguished itself through its use of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, offering consumers greater convenience and accessibility.
Beyond its product portfolio, the company has continued to support initiatives aimed at creating positive social and economic impact. These include youth empowerment, community development, entertainment partnerships, sports development and other consumer-focused programmes.
The company’s involvement in entertainment and other public engagement platforms has also provided opportunities to connect its brands with consumers across different demographics.
With the latest international recognition, Rite Foods is seeking to consolidate its position in Nigeria’s competitive FMCG sector while continuing to invest in product innovation, manufacturing capabilities and consumer experience.
The award further places the spotlight on the growing capacity of indigenous Nigerian manufacturers to develop competitive brands, create economic value and expand their influence beyond domestic markets.
