President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin concluded a joint press conference in Alaska on Friday without taking questions or providing specific details about their discussions on Ukraine’s future.
Trump stated that “some great progress” had been made during talks with Putin and noted that he would soon speak with European leaders and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Earlier in the briefing, Putin said both leaders had reached an “understanding” on Ukraine and cautioned European nations against undermining what he described as “nascent progress.”
