The Chairman of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Barrister (Hon.) Habeeb Ajayi, has commended the resilience, resourcefulness, and commitment of the agency’s operatives in promoting safety across the state despite operational and manpower challenges.
Hon. Ajayi gave the commendation during his maiden familiarisation visit to TRACE Headquarters, located at the former OGTV Building along Ajebo Road, Abeokuta.
He urged the officers and men to continue working in unity and uphold the agency’s mission and vision, especially in service to the motoring public, to reinforce TRACE’s relevance.
He charged the management team to belief in the leadership from within and not from outside and it should not lose focus but to continue in the right stead by ensuring compliance to traffic rules and regulations before enforcement is carried out on recalcitrant road users who are endanger species to other users of the road.
Furthermore the TRACE board chairman assured of government’s support to rejuvenate and rebrand the agency for effective service delivery to be achieved.
However, while welcoming the TRACE board chairman earlier, the Ag. TRACE Commander General/CEO, Cdr. Adedayo Omonayajo, appreciated Hon Habeeb Ajayi for the visit for an on the spot assessment of TRACE facility, its modus operandi, its challenges and way forward.
Cdr. Omonayajo praised the board chairman’s administrative trajectory “as a seasoned and astute administrator, with a vast knowledge and experience accumulated over the years” which TRACE can benefit from to change its narrative.
Nonetheless, the Ag. TRACE Commander General/CEO assured the Chairman of the management team, and indeed the entire TRACE operatives support in his desire to reposition the agency.
