President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday departed Abuja to begin a 10-working-day vacation in Europe, as part of his 2025 annual leave.
This was announced by his Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement shared via X (formerly Twitter). According to the statement, the president will spend the leave period between France and the United Kingdom before returning to Nigeria.
The development comes shortly after President Tinubu returned from diplomatic visits to Japan and Brazil.
In Japan, he participated in the opening ceremony and plenary of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), held bilateral meetings, and engaged with the Nigerian community.
Following TICAD9, Tinubu had a stopover in Los Angeles before heading to Brasília, Brazil, where he met with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Both leaders held private talks and witnessed the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) spanning aviation, foreign affairs, science and technology, and agriculture.
