The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has announced that Engr. Tony Attah, Managing Director of Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited, will deliver a lecture at the next edition of the Nigerian Content Academy Lecture Series.
The virtual lecture is scheduled to hold on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., where the renowned industry expert will speak on the topic, “Finding Funds for Effective & Efficient Local Content Initiatives – IPPG Perspective.”
Engr. Attah, who previously served as Managing Director of Nigeria LNG Limited and Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCo), is expected to bring his extensive industry experience to bear during the session.
The lecture forms part of the Academy’s ongoing commitment to advancing discourse, capacity building, and innovation within Nigeria’s local content ecosystem, particularly in the oil and gas and related sectors.
According to the organisers, the event is designed to engage a broad range of stakeholders, including professionals in oil and gas, energy, and manufacturing sectors, policymakers, government officials, finance experts, local content practitioners, and project managers. Entrepreneurs, investors, academics, researchers, students, financial institutions, and development partners are also encouraged to participate via the Zoom platform.
A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Attah is widely regarded as a distinguished industry leader with deep expertise in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. He is known for his strategic insights and leadership in promoting indigenous participation, as well as his contributions to sustainable funding models and effective execution of local content initiatives.
He has received several prestigious awards, including the Local Content Icon of the Year at the 2025 Champions of Nigerian Content Awards, in recognition of his leadership in key industry milestones such as the Final Investment Decision for the NLNG Train 7 project.
The lecture will feature a keynote presentation, followed by an interactive question-and-answer session and open discussions aimed at fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration among participants.
The upcoming edition is expected to provide practical insights into sourcing and managing funding for local content initiatives, highlight challenges and opportunities within Nigeria’s content landscape, promote innovation, and strengthen collaboration between industry players, financiers, and policymakers.
Through the lecture series, the Nigerian Content Academy aims to strengthen local capacity, deepen indigenous participation, bridge knowledge gaps in funding and project execution, and support sustainable economic growth through effective local content implementation.
The Academy reaffirmed its commitment to creating platforms that drive meaningful conversations and actionable outcomes for Nigeria’s development.
Notable past speakers at the Nigerian Content Academy Lecture Series include Engr. Ernest Nwapa, pioneer Executive Secretary of NCDMB; Engr. Austin Avuru, former Managing Director of Seplat Energy and Chairman of AA Holdings; and Mr. Nosa Omorodion, Executive Director at SLB, among other industry leaders.
