The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has prophesied a sweeping transformation in Nigeria’s road transport and safety architecture in the coming years. According to the cleric, the *Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is set to undergo significant reforms affecting its structure, appearance, and operational mandate.
“In the next five or six years, Nigeria’s plate numbers will be changed,” Ayodele declared. “I also see FRSC officials bearing arms. Their uniforms will change. Even the driver’s license—the content and composition—will be completely overhauled.”
The prophecy points to a potential evolution of the FRSC into a more security-oriented agency, possibly taking on extended law enforcement responsibilities. The prediction has stirred public discourse on whether the federal government is considering arming FRSC operatives in response to rising insecurity along Nigerian highways.
Primate Ayodele further revealed that the anticipated changes to number plates and driver’s licenses will likely introduce new technologies and enhanced identification features. He described the forthcoming transformation as a part of a broader modernization agenda.
“This will be a major reform that will surprise many Nigerians,” he stated. “The government will change the entire system—uniforms, number plates, licenses. It will be something entirely new.”
While the prophecy remains speculative, it has reignited conversations about the role of the FRSC in national security and how technological upgrades could reshape road governance in Nigeria.
