Tension flared at the polling unit of Osun State Deputy Governor and Accord Party deputy governorship candidate, Prince Kola Adewusi, during Saturday’s governorship election.
A fracas broke out at the polling unit of Osun State Deputy Governor and Accord Party deputy governorship candidate, Prince Kola Adewusi, during the ongoing governorship election in the state.
The altercation reportedly occurred shortly after the All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate, Hon. Benjamin Kayode Adereti, arrived at the polling unit in Ife.
Adereti had earlier cast his ballot at his own polling unit, Waasin Polling Unit 11, Ilaare Ward 3, before proceeding to Adewusi’s polling unit.
His arrival reportedly triggered tension among supporters of the deputy governor who were present at the polling unit, eventually leading to an altercation.

However, there were no immediate reports of injuries or arrests at the polling unit.
