OPay, in partnership with the REEL Foundation, has launched Project Equip—a community-focused initiative aimed at supporting education in underserved areas.
On Thursday, 18 September 2025, over 600 pupils in government schools across Agbado, Ogun State, received comprehensive back-to-school kits, including school bags, sandals, stationery, and other essentials.
The distribution event, held at St. Peter’s African Church Primary School, Agbado, was themed “Empowering Education and Learning for Pupils in Ifo LGA.” It brought together teachers, parents, community leaders, and education stakeholders, who praised the initiative as timely support for families preparing for the new academic session.
Speaking at the event, OPay’s CSR Manager, Mr. Itoro Udo, said:

Parents and teachers described the intervention as a “lifeline, while pupils proudly carried their new school kits home—signalling relief and renewed motivation for the year ahead.
