The Ogun State Police Command on Sunday received a temporary facility for the Ikenne Area Command and performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a permanent structure.
The event, held on April 26, 2026, also featured a visit to the Ikenne Security Coordinating Centre, marking a significant step toward strengthening security infrastructure and enhancing policing operations in the area.
The Inspector-General of Police was represented at the occasion by the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni.
He described the initiative as a clear demonstration of community support for effective policing and stressed the need for sustained collaboration among security agencies, community stakeholders, and development partners to ensure lasting peace and public safety.

Ojajuni also commended the Ikenne Security Coordinating Centre for its digital innovation and coordinated approach to security management, noting that the integration of technology would significantly improve intelligence sharing and rapid response capabilities.
The Command expressed appreciation to the Ikenne Development Association, led by its President, Barrister Olufemi Allen, for its commitment to enhancing the security architecture of Ikenne and surrounding communities.
The Ogun State Police Command reiterated its commitment to proactive policing, protection of lives and property, and the strengthening of partnerships aimed at ensuring safer communities across the state.
