Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid a private visit to former Head of State, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, at his Hilltop residence in Minna, Niger State.
Obasanjo was received at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna, and accompanied by Government House protocol officials to Babangida’s residence.
The former president reportedly spent about 30 minutes in a closed-door meeting with Babangida before returning to the airport.
Although no official statement was issued on the purpose of the visit, sources suggested it may be connected to national issues or preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The visit comes weeks after Obasanjo hosted leaders of opposition political parties in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
