The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, on Thursday, 16th October 2025, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Edo State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Agun Gbenga, at his residence in Meiran, Agbado-Oke Odo LCDA, Lagos State.
Professor Audi, on behalf of the Corps, expressed deep sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, noting that the late Commandant’s unwavering dedication and contributions to the growth of the NSCDC and the nation’s security architecture will always be remembered and appreciated.
He also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed soul and for divine comfort and strength for the family during this difficult time.
Representing the Commandant General at the visit was a high-powered delegation from the National Headquarters, Abuja, led by Deputy Commandant General Adeyinka Fasiu Ayinla, DCG in charge of the Directorate of Administration.
The family warmly received the delegation and expressed sincere gratitude to the Commandant General for the show of support and solidarity in their moment of grief. They also asked DCG Ayinla to convey their profound appreciation to Professor Audi for his unprecedented support and concern.
The visit featured the signing of the condolence register by DCG Ayinla on behalf of the Commandant General.
