Prominent women leaders gathered at the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) in Lagos on Tuesday as part of the NGX Group 2026 “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” ceremony, an initiative aimed at promoting gender inclusion and empowering women across sectors.
Among the dignitaries present were the CEO of EbonyLife Group, Mosunmola “Mo” Abudu; the First Lady of Imo State, Chioma Uzodimma; and the Group Managing Director/CEO of NGX Group, Temi Popoola.
Also in attendance were the Group Managing Director/CEO of Futureview Group, Elizabeth Ebi; Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele; and NGX Director, Ummahani Ahmad Amin.
The ceremony, held at the NGX headquarters in Lagos, highlighted the critical role women play in driving economic growth, leadership, and innovation. The annual event forms part of global activities advocating equal opportunities for women in business, governance, and society.
Participants emphasised the importance of creating inclusive systems that support women’s advancement and leadership, noting that empowering women remains vital for sustainable economic development. The “Ring the Bell for Gender Equality” initiative continues to serve as a platform for stakeholders to reaffirm commitments to closing gender gaps and promoting equal opportunities across industries.
