Oluranti, fondly called “Rantilicious” by friends and colleagues, is the daughter of Nigerian politician Senator Felix Kola Ogunwale, who represented Osun Central between 2003 and 2007.
A pilot with over 10 years of experience, Captain Oluranti joined ValueJet a few years ago after spending several years flying with Arik Air.
She was promoted to the rank of full captain in September 2021, following years of service as a first officer.
She was decorated by the management of Arik Air, led by Chief Executive Officer Captain Roy Ilegbodu, Director of Flight Operations Captain Adetokunbo Adekunbi, and the Chief Pilot at the time, now NCAA Director-General, Captain Chris Najomo.
Captain Oluranti is married to fellow pilot Isaac Ogoyi Jr., who also flew with Arik Air before moving to RwandAir and later joining Uganda Airlines, where he currently works.
