A yet-to-be-identified man was rescued after reportedly jumping into the Lagos Lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge.
According to reports, the man had parked his car on the bridge before leaping into the water, raising concerns among passersby.
He was, however, quickly rescued by local fishermen who intervened and pulled him out of the lagoon.
A video of the incident, shared on social media by Isaac Fayose on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, showed the moment the man was brought to safety.
Reacting to the incident, Fayose urged Nigerians to pay closer attention to the emotional well-being of those around them.
“Please, check on your family and friends. This just happened today. Who knows what went wrong,” he wrote.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear as of the time of filing this report.
