JMG Limited has commissioned an advanced hybrid solar power system for La Chaumiere Group, a leading multi-brand culinary and hospitality company in Nigeria, in a project expected to save the business more than ₦102 million annually in diesel costs.
The project is designed to provide La Chaumiere Group with a more reliable, sustainable and cost-efficient power supply while reducing its dependence on diesel-powered generators.
The newly commissioned system combines 133.12kWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity, 160kW of hybrid inverter capacity and 163.84kWh of high-voltage lithium battery storage.
According to JMG, the integrated energy solution is expected to generate approximately 210.86MWh of clean electricity annually, supplying a substantial portion of the group’s daily energy requirements and supporting uninterrupted operations.
The installation is also projected to reduce diesel consumption by approximately 57,000 litres every year, resulting in more than ₦102 million in annual fuel savings.
In addition, the project is expected to prevent more than 76 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually, further strengthening La Chaumiere Group’s environmental sustainability efforts.
The system was engineered following detailed load analysis using Fluke Load Analyzer and PVsyst simulation software to optimise energy generation, storage and consumption.
The project features LONGi solar modules, Deye hybrid inverters and Deye high-voltage lithium battery storage, providing intelligent energy management, backup power and improved operational efficiency.
Speaking on the project, Hussein Abbas, Head of Solar Division at JMG, said hospitality businesses require dependable electricity to maintain quality service and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
He said the partnership with La Chaumiere Group demonstrates how modern hybrid energy systems can help businesses significantly reduce operating costs while improving power reliability and sustainability.
The project also highlights JMG’s growing capacity to design and deliver turnkey renewable energy solutions for businesses where reliable power, cost reduction and operational efficiency are critical.
As Nigerian businesses continue to contend with rising energy costs and the need for more reliable electricity, JMG said it remains committed to providing innovative renewable energy technologies that can help organisations improve energy security, reduce operating expenses and achieve their sustainability goals.
