— Victoria Island facility to generate 94.8MWh of clean energy annually, cut diesel use by 28,000 litres and reduce carbon emissions.
JMG Limited has commissioned an advanced hybrid solar power system at its Victoria Island branch in Lagos, marking another milestone in the company’s drive to provide reliable, sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions for businesses across Nigeria.
The newly installed system integrates a 66kWp high-efficiency solar photovoltaic (PV) array, 80kW hybrid inverter capacity and 81.92kWh lithium battery storage to deliver a dependable energy solution while significantly reducing reliance on diesel-powered electricity.
According to the company, the project was designed using advanced load analysis with Fluke Load Analyzer and PV system simulation software. It is expected to generate about 94.8MWh of clean electricity annually, supplying approximately 80 per cent of the branch’s energy requirements.
JMG said the installation will also reduce diesel consumption by about 28,000 litres each year, resulting in an estimated annual fuel cost saving of ₦50 million while preventing more than 37 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from being released into the atmosphere.
The hybrid power system features premium technologies, including LONGi solar photovoltaic modules, Deye hybrid inverters and Deye high-voltage lithium battery storage. These components provide intelligent energy management, seamless backup power and enhanced long-term operational efficiency.
Speaking on the project, JMG’s Head of Solar Division, Hussein Abbas, said the company was demonstrating confidence in its renewable energy solutions by deploying them within its own operations.

He added that the Victoria Island branch now serves as a live demonstration centre where customers, consultants and project developers can experience JMG’s commercial hybrid solar solutions operating in a real business environment.
