Infinix has unveiled its latest gaming flagship smartphone, the GT 50 Pro, introducing advanced cooling technology, precision gaming controls and artificial intelligence features designed to deliver high-performance mobile gaming.
The smartphone, which is now available in Nigeria, is positioned as the centrepiece of Infinix’s expanding New GT Ecosystem, which includes gaming-focused accessories and AIoT devices.
According to the company, the GT 50 Pro combines physical design improvements, advanced thermal management and intelligent software optimisation to address some of the major challenges associated with prolonged mobile gaming.
Advanced liquid cooling system
A major highlight of the GT 50 Pro is its HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture, which Infinix says is designed to improve heat dissipation and maintain stable performance during extended gaming sessions.
The device features micro-pump liquid cooling with 100 per cent coverage of its core heat sources and a 6,437mm² diaphragm area.
The cooling system uses a piezoelectric-driven ceramic heat pump to circulate specially formulated coolant at a rate of 6.5ml per minute.
Infinix said the technology is designed to draw heat away from the smartphone’s most intensive components and help maintain high frame rates during demanding gameplay.
The company also introduced the GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0, which provides wireless bypass charging when paired with the GT 50 Pro.
The system directs power towards the device’s computing chipset rather than relying entirely on the battery, while its active thermoelectric cooling system provides up to 12W of refrigeration.
Precision GT gaming triggers
The GT 50 Pro also introduces an Open-Cut Pressure-Sense GT Trigger system, comprising dual mechanical triggers designed to provide greater control during competitive gaming.
The triggers support light and heavy pressure inputs as well as sliding actions, while each trigger has up to four adjustable mapping points and 10 pressure levels.
Infinix said the triggers have latency below 20 milliseconds and are designed to withstand more than three million presses.
Beyond gaming, the triggers can be configured for functions such as screenshots, screen recording, memory cleaning, Off-screen Gaming and access to the Folax AI assistant.
They can also be used for shortcuts within applications, including camera controls, video playback and lighting effects.
Hardcore Esports Mode and 144FPS gaming
The GT 50 Pro comes with Hardcore Esports Mode, which is designed to transform the smartphone into a dedicated gaming platform with a single tap.
The mode optimises the user interface, blocks selected system gestures and notifications, and provides a gaming-focused environment for intensive sessions.
The device also supports Native 144FPS technology for selected esports titles.
Infinix said the technology has been certified for six major esports games, including Call of Duty: Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Free Fire.
The company said the high frame-rate capability is designed to provide smoother visuals, faster response and improved gameplay during competitive matches.
AI-powered gaming features
The GT 50 Pro runs on XOS 16, which includes a range of AI-powered gaming and productivity features.
Its AI Smart Trigger can automate selected actions and macros, while AI Voice Prompt provides real-time vocal alerts during gameplay.
The AI ZoneTouch Master is designed to identify on-screen controls and optimise touch response, while AI Magic Voice Changer provides 25 voice options for in-game communication.
Infinix’s Folax 5.0 AI assistant can also be accessed through the GT Trigger system.
The company said the GT 50 Pro will receive three years of OS version updates and five years of security patches.
MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset
Powering the GT 50 Pro is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate, built on a 4nm all-big-core architecture and clocked at up to 3.25GHz.
The chipset also introduces MediaTek Frame Rate Converter technology, which is designed to improve gaming smoothness through GPU frame interpolation.
Infinix said the GT 50 Pro achieved an AnTuTu score of more than 2,224,634, representing a claimed 26.45 per cent increase over the previous GT 30 Pro.
The smartphone is equipped with a battery of up to 6,500mAh, supported by 45W wired charging and 30W wireless charging.
It also supports up to 10W wired reverse charging for compatible accessories.
For connectivity, the GT 50 Pro features Infinix’s N1 network management chip, which the company claims can provide up to 60 per cent stronger signal performance to help reduce latency and connection interruptions.
1.5K 144Hz display
The GT 50 Pro features a 6.78-inch 1.5K display with a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits and 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage.
The screen supports refresh rates ranging from 30Hz to 144Hz and features 2,304Hz PWM dimming.
It also carries TÜV Rheinland low-blue-light certification and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
Infinix has further incorporated Motion Sickness Relief Display technology, designed to improve viewing comfort when users are exposed to motion while using the device.
Dolby Atmos and upgraded cameras
For audio, the GT 50 Pro supports Dolby Atmos, with Smart, Movie, Gaming and Music modes.
The smartphone is equipped with a 50MP main camera featuring OIS and EIS, alongside an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 13MP front-facing camera.
Its imaging system also incorporates Infinix’s AI RAW processing technology, as well as AI Studio and Live Photo features.
New GT Ecosystem expands
The GT 50 Pro serves as the centrepiece of Infinix’s New GT Ecosystem, which includes gaming and lifestyle accessories.
The GTBUDS 5 features Dolby Atmos, sub-50ms latency, a 360-degree panoramic soundstage and 50dB hybrid active noise cancellation.
The GTWATCH 5 Pro is designed to serve as a secondary screen while providing fitness and positioning features, including independent GNSS positioning and AI-supported health and fitness analytics.
Infinix also teased the upcoming GT Game Controller, which is expected to provide enhanced ergonomics and stronger haptic feedback when paired with the smartphone.
Price and availability in Nigeria
The Infinix GT 50 Pro is now available in Nigeria through Jumia in Black Abyss, Red Blaze and Silver Glacier colour options.
Customers can choose between 256GB and 512GB storage configurations, with each model offering 12GB of RAM and up to an additional 12GB of expandable RAM.
