Infinix Nigeria has strengthened its support for Nigeria’s growing esports industry by partnering with the PUBG Mobile National Championship (PMNC) Nigeria 2026 Fall Finals as the Official Gaming Partner.
Held from September 12 to 13 at the University of Lagos Indoor Sports Complex, the championship featured 16 of Nigeria’s top PUBG Mobile teams competing for national honours and qualification opportunities on the continental stage.
The two-day tournament delivered intense competition, tactical gameplay and standout performances from some of the country’s leading mobile gamers.
At the end of the competition, Team Pride emerged champion, securing the PMNC Nigeria 2026 Fall Finals title after a dominant performance against a highly competitive field.
Beyond the competition, the event provided a major platform for Infinix to showcase its newly launched GT 50 Pro, a gaming-focused smartphone designed for players seeking sustained performance, precision controls and immersive gameplay.
GT 50 Pro Targets Competitive Gamers
Speaking on the partnership, Oluwayemisi Ode, PR Manager, Infinix Nigeria, said the PMNC Finals provided an ideal platform to demonstrate the capabilities of the GT 50 Pro while supporting Nigeria’s esports community.
“The PMNC Nigeria Finals brought together exactly the kind of community the GT 50 Pro was built for. Competitive gaming demands consistency, responsiveness and performance under pressure, and that is precisely what this device delivers,” she said.
Ode added that the partnership was part of Infinix’s efforts to support the growth of Nigeria’s esports ecosystem and the gamers contributing to its development.
At the core of the GT 50 Pro is what Infinix describes as the industry’s largest active micro-pump HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture, developed to address one of the major challenges associated with intensive mobile gaming—heat management.
The cooling system uses micro-pump liquid-cooling technology to dissipate heat from critical performance components, helping the smartphone maintain stable performance during demanding gaming sessions.
For competitive players, effective thermal management can be crucial, particularly during extended gameplay when rising temperatures can affect performance and responsiveness.
The GT 50 Pro is designed to maintain high frame rates, smooth gameplay and responsive controls during prolonged gaming sessions.
Pressure-Sensitive Gaming Triggers
The smartphone also features Infinix’s Open-Cut Pressure-Sense GT Trigger system, which provides dual pressure-sensitive triggers designed to deliver console-inspired controls.
The triggers can be customised for functions such as aiming, weapon switching and other complex in-game actions, giving players additional control during competitive matches.
The GT 50 Pro also supports native 144FPS gaming on selected esports titles, offering smoother visuals and faster response for compatible games.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate processor, complemented by gaming and artificial-intelligence features including Hardcore Esports Mode, AI Smart Trigger, AI Voice Prompt and AI ZoneTouch Master.
Together, the features are designed to create an optimised gaming environment for players who require speed, precision and consistent performance.
Infinix Expands GT Gaming Ecosystem
The GT 50 Pro is also positioned as a key product within Infinix’s New GT Ecosystem, which brings together gaming-focused hardware, accessories and software features aimed at delivering a broader gaming experience.
The company said its partnership with PMNC Nigeria reflects its wider commitment to esports development in Africa through investments in platforms that support talent development, community building and opportunities for emerging gamers.
The partnership also places the GT 50 Pro directly within a fast-growing Nigerian gaming community, where competitive mobile gaming continues to attract young players and audiences.
GT 50 Pro Price and Availability in Nigeria
The Infinix GT 50 Pro is available in Nigeria through Jumia Nigeria in three colour options: Black Abyss, Red Blaze and Silver Glacier.
The 512GB storage variant is priced at ₦849,000 and comes with 12GB RAM, alongside up to 12GB extended RAM for enhanced multitasking and gaming performance.
With its combination of high-performance hardware, advanced cooling, pressure-sensitive gaming controls and gaming-focused software, the GT 50 Pro is positioned by Infinix as a flagship device for mobile gamers.
Its presence at the PMNC Nigeria 2026 Fall Finals further underscores the company’s strategy of combining smartphone innovation with direct support for the esports community across Nigeria and Africa.
