The increasing trend of revealing and provocative dressing among some young people has continued to spark debate on social media and within communities.
Many believe that while everyone has the right to choose how they dress, clothing should also reflect dignity, self-respect, and respect for the values of society.
Fashion is a means of self-expression, but it should not come at the expense of modesty or personal safety. Indecent dressing often attracts criticism and raises concerns about the kind of values being promoted to younger generations.
Parents have a vital role to play in guiding their children. Moral values, self-respect, and responsible behaviour should be taught from an early age.
Children who receive proper guidance at home are more likely to make wise decisions about their appearance and conduct.
Beyond parents, schools, religious institutions, community leaders, and the media also have a responsibility to promote positive values and encourage decent dressing without resorting to insults or public humiliation.
Rather than condemning individuals, society should focus on education, mentorship, and positive examples that inspire young people to dress in ways that reflect confidence, decency, and respect for themselves and others.
