Ardo argues that Ayodele’s statement amounts to ethnic profiling and should not be condoned, especially from a religious leader with influence. He emphasizes that Nigeria’s history does not support the alleged generalization, citing notable Fulani leaders who have served the nation with loyalty and distinction, such as:

However, the Fulani Association for Great Leadership (FAGL) has come to Ayodele’s defense, describing him as a hospitable and religiously tolerant Christian leader. FAGL President Abdullahi Raheem highlights Ayodele’s contributions to the Muslim community, including:
