FrieslandCampina WAMCO has officially renamed its Training Academy after the late Chief Olu Akinkugbe, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Nigerian dairy industry and national development.
The renaming ceremony took place at the company’s headquarters, where senior management, industry stakeholders, and family members of the late Akinkugbe gathered to honour his legacy. The newly named Olu Akinkugbe Academy will continue to serve as a centre for excellence in capacity building, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the dairy sector.
Chief Akinkugbe was a pioneering industrialist and the first Nigerian Chairman of FrieslandCampina WAMCO. His leadership and visionary guidance helped shape the company into a leading dairy brand in Nigeria.
According to the company, the academy stands as a lasting tribute to his legacy and a symbol of FrieslandCampina WAMCO’s commitment to nurturing future generations of professionals.
