He currently has a pending petition for adjustment of status, a legal process that allows individuals to remain in the U.S. beyond the original validity of their visas while awaiting approval.
The ICE Caroline Detention Facility in Virginia is reported as the location where he is being held, and he is scheduled to appear in a U.S. court on January 20, 2026 regarding the matter.
