Former presidential aspirant and publisher of Ovation International, Dele Momodu, has said the political influence of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, will not last forever, stressing that power is temporary and often fleeting.
Momodu made the remark during an interview on Symfoni, where he spoke on Nigeria’s evolving political landscape and the impermanence of political dominance.
He said history has shown that even the most powerful politicians eventually lose influence and are often forced to reconcile with former rivals.
“The same way Wike is larger than life today, one day you will see Wike begging all his enemies,” Momodu said.
He added that many leaders who once appeared untouchable ultimately experienced a decline in their political relevance after leaving office, noting that political power is never permanent.
“Does this man know the nature of power? It is a very temporary thing,” he said, comparing Wike’s situation to that of past political figures who later faded from prominence.
